Pee-Pee Teepees

The name of this product stopped me in my tracks the other day. My local carwash had a cute display of unique baby gifts, and right at the front were these “Pee-Pee Teepees.” They are little cone-shaped cloths to be placed strategically during diaper changes. They come in several different colors and patterns.

The funniest part of the marketing scheme is the little rhyme they include:

Changing a baby girl is not all glitz and glory.
Changing a baby boy is an even bigger horror story.
You hold his feet in one hand, and the diaper with the other,
The whole time praying “Please don’t pee on your mother”.

The pee-pee teepee for the sprinkling wee-wee.

As the mother of three boys, one of whom peed on the neonatologist every chance he got, I’m always attracted to baby boy stuff. I think I’ll get a package for Cousin E, who delivered her first child yesterday, a boy.

  1. Niece #1 just had a baby boy. Tell me isn’t a strategically placed diaper “good enough”???

    Plus — what’s the “fun” of having a baby boy without getting hit at least once :}
