The Zone has successfully avoided the annual virus that makes the rounds at school. Until now. Two days ago, Moose started feeling feverish while we were up in Sarasota and Bradenton for the day. Despite regular dosing of children’s ibuprofen, he is still running a fever of 102ºF. He woke me this morning at 6:10A saying he had thrown up on his carpet. Wild Thing came down a few minutes later reporting that Moose had a poop accident as well. WT was a huge help by bringing soiled clothes and laundry downstairs to the washer. WT took the job seriously, donning rubber gloves and carrying plastic trash bags to do the job. Wizard’s contribution to the clean-up effort was olfactory: “It really stinks upstairs, Mom.” Thank you, you helpful child . . . not.
I carted Wild Thing and Wizard off to school and brought Moose back home, where he is currently lying pitifully on the playroom couch. The first load of nasty laundry is in the washer, and I need to steel myself to go upstairs and clean the mess. Fortunately, I found a gallon of Nature’s Miracle® cleaner in the laundry room. Those of you with pets may have heard of this stuff. Nature’s Miracle is technically a pet accident and stain remover. However, it works great on kid-related stains, too.
Guaranteed to remove pet stains and odors, even old urine odors trapped deep in carpets. Nature’s Miracle removes all organic stains and odors, including foods, blood, vomit, feces, grease, dirt, grass, smoke, and perspiration. For use on carpets, floors, furniture, clothing, cages, litter boxes, and all pet living and sleeping areas. Safe to use around pets and children.
That stuff will take care of the mess. I wish that I could wash everything and everyone in Clorox to kill the virus and get it out of my house.
