It was bound to happen. Wizard’s incessant lying, obfuscation, and combativeness have now rubbed off on his brothers. Wild Thing is turning out to be a real smart-ass with a big mouth. WT told WineGuy off the other night. And this was after WT had blatantly lied to his father in order to weasel his way back into trick-or-treating on Halloween.
The net result was WG and I fighting on our way to what was supposed to have been our anniversary dinner. The dinner out was mediocre, and the anniversary itself was pretty tepid. OK, I’ll admit now, 16 years later, that getting married on October 31 was poor planning vis a vis children, but our anniversary is still special to us. Maybe we’ll try again for a special dinner this week.
Pardon my tangent . . . Back on the topic of WT the lying liar. This afternoon, we found that he and Moose sneaked into the guest room and were watching television. That’s a second-degree misdemeanor in this house. WT and Moose were very unhappy to find their TV and computer privileges revoked for two days. However, WG was inclined to allow WT to do any homework on the computer. I may countermand that and refuse to log WT on to the computer. Then WT will have to explain to his Language Arts teacher why his vocabulary homework was incomplete. Maybe, JUST maybe WT will own up to his mendacious ways.
